A New Year of Re-Invention!
In life and business, following the rules of excellence is no longer enough…and besides, it is boring. Successful companies and individuals must learn to break the rules and forge new paths of achievement and leadership.
What you hold in your hands is the new and improved Long Beach Magazine! Impressed? We hope so. After three years of building a trusted and beloved place in your heart, we decided it was time to re-define, re-design, and re-invent ourselves to make you proud.

We have been hard at work striving to make your experience of LBM better than ever, so the hand that turns the last page will never be the same again. Feel the new cover, see the wider format, and glance through the elegant white space mixed with incredible authentic photography from our inhouse staff. Our logo has an all-new look representing the Art Deco and urban beach city that we call home.

Long Beach is changing, we all feel it and see it around us. We aren’t L.A., and we aren’t Orange County. Stepping out of the box enabled us to re-define ourselves better, resulting in a short, sexy, and pointed tag line... “Coastal Living. City Style,” which you will see proudly displayed under our logo on each issue. At LBM we aren’t going to be run of the mill like so many other city and regional publications.

To bring in 2008 with class, we kick off with our Art & Romance issue, in which we introduce you to 10 sexy, smart, passionate, eligible men and women here in Long Beach. Get a head start on melting the heart of your significant other for Valentines Day in our luxury & style section and take him or her out to one of the Top 5 Romantic Tables for extra indulgence.

For the arts, we not only spent time with three amazing local artists who bring new meaning to the romance of creativity, but also début “Art Smart” with local art reviews in each issue. You may have already noticed an easier-to-read feature and department pages designed to give you a better visual overview of the content for each issue. We have eight sections for you to look forward to, based on what you care about.

Finally, our beloved pets section and horoscopes have a whole new fun flair. We could write three or four pages on the intricacies of the re-design process that we have undergone, but it is time for you to check it out on your own. Most importantly, we want to make your Long Beach Magazine more personal and interactive. Send us your thoughts, your ideas, your feedback, and your stories. Get involved in the upcoming surveys, contests, and new readership-driven departments. Talk about the magazine with your friends and take advantage of our new low yearly subscription rate.

Thank you for your continued support and Happy New Year!
