Councilmember Suja Lowenthal was born in Madras, India in 1970. Suja grew up in Los Angeles County and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from UCLA, a Master’s in Business Administration from UCLA and a Doctorate in Policy, Planning and Development from USC.

Suja was sworn in as Second District Councilmember on June 27, 2006, and was reelected to a four-year term in 2008. While she takes much pride in what she wears, it is her devotion to her son, Avi, 6, that is the cornerstone of her being.

Larry Allison is editorial page editor of the Press-Telegram. Previously, he served in a wide range of the newspaper’s key editing positions, as well as assistant to the publisher of the Lexington, Ky, Herald-Leader and associate editor of the Detroit Free Press.

Allison is a graduate of St. Anthony High School in Long Beach and studied at the Sorbonne, at Harvard University as a Nieman Fellow; at California State University, Long Beach, and at the Stanford University School of Business Administration Summer Executive Program.

He is a former president of Associated Press Managing Editors and a former board member of the American Society of Newspaper Editors.

Carolyn really enjoys what she does and loves introducing people to the firm, whether it be at college recruiting events, business mixers, or through community involvement.

She also helped start up Young Beach Professionals (YBP) – a networking group for up and coming professionals in the Long Beach and surrounding areas. For her contributions to the firm, Carolyn was the recipient of the Windes & McClaughry 2008 Excellence in Client Service Award.

Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Christian has travelled extensively through S.E. Asia and Europe, as well as the majority of the continental United States.

A graduate of Macquarie University, resulted in a brief stint in journalism, before being lured to the ‘dark side’ of media advertising. He has worked the television, automotive, demolition and print industries. Christian is passionate about travel, literature, film, language, architecture, fast and often expensive machines and of course, his talented and forever patient wife, Shelby. They currently reside in Long Beach with their pet marmot, Syd Vicious.
